And They Called It Camelot: A Novel of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis by Stephanie Marie Thornton

5.0

I downloaded this book because I have a slight Kennedy obsession. I've read countless books and watched numerous documentaries and movies so I really doubted this book had much more to offer but because it was about JFK and Jackie, I was going to read it anyway. While I didn't discover any new information, I was blown away by this novelization of their lives especially Jackie's. Thornton does a phenomenal job humanizing them so that they are much more than facts on a page. I wept through the entire book not just the assassination and the days following. Jackie was truly a woman of courage.
