Five Days with a Duke by Christi Caldwell

5.0

This was a short book so I finished it in one day and thoroughly enjoyed it! I haven't read the previous books in this series but I don't think it's necessary to follow the story and enjoy it.

Connell, the Duke, is a grumpy, surly and probably depressed man in the beginning as he's lost the sunshine in his life (his ward and her illegitimate young daughter). Constance ends up in his life after the young daughter wrote the advice columnist Mrs. Matcher for help regarding her beloved former guardian. The story evolves from there and I loved how they got to know each other, despite actually being distantly familiar with each other (he was Constance's best friend's fiance).
