Books dealing with this topic often feel preachy, and while the back-and-forth felt tiring after the third or fourth pass, that also highlighted the tension and indecision between them, and the severity of their social dilemma. I would have liked to see more of Annabelle's work, both with the suffragettes and the professor, but there can't be time for everything.
