It took a while for me to get into this book, but once I did I could not put it down! The story of Elenor really captures the impact that childhood trauma can have on a person, well into adulthood and how just one act of kindness can help break abusive cycles. This story absolutely captivated me, the characters were flawed and human and I think that is what I love the most about it, the characters didn't seem untouchable and that everything will work out for them, there are genuine challenges that they go through, and extreme character growth. Overall, I loved this book.
