Looking for Alaska takes a radical choice at the midpoint that I admire. I almost want to believe that it was a necessary catastrophe -- you finally get to see the "players" in the story coalesce and put their hearts to bear. I do think some of the end message and religious nods were a little heavy handed, but they added to the story, nonetheless, in a beautiful and nuanced way. It was definitely worth a read, and John Green as always is incredible. DFTBA
