Well this book surprised me. I picked it up in a second bookshop in Kuala Lumpur and then regretted the decision. However, once I started reading it I was really captured by the story. Yes, it’s dated and yes you have to get over the sexism that runs throughout the book. The story is good though. I couldn’t put down. True it’s not a classic, it’s formulaic but it kept me happily occupied for two days!
