The Haunted Hotel: A Mystery of Modern Venice by Wilkie Collins
3.0
There's something about Wilkie Collins' writing that is just so appealing to me. I like the overall vibes of his books and I don't feel I can explain it better than that. The mystery here is not as enticing as it is in his other, more famous works, like The moonstone or The woman in white. This is, however, a much shorter book than those, which is definitely an improvement. As much as I like his writing style and general atmosphere, I think I prefer it like this, in a shorter version.
