A Fate of Wrath & Flame by K.A. Tucker

5.0

I have been reading fantasy since I was in junior high school, and it's still one of my favorite genres. You know, Tolkien, Sanderson, Jordan, but I have yet to dive into fantasy romance, or is it romantic fantasy? Anyway, I know I have a whole universe to discover. I have to say I have been hooked by Fate of Wrath and Flame. I was immersed in the story from page one. The author does a great job of the slow reveal of what is going on and leaves you guessing as to who is the bad guy and who is not. There's dangerous romance, monsters, betrayal, hidden agendas, and magic--all the things that make fantasy great.

To begin to go into details would take me all day and be confusing. Let's just say two romances are going on--one that has taken a tragic turn, and Sofie is doing whatever is necessary to restore her loved one. And the second, between out of time Romy and the prince. It is all intricately woven in this story that I hope drags out for a good long time. Creating a world and inhabiting it with dynamic characters demands excellent long detailed storytelling that cannot be done in one or two books. Wheel of Time anyone? I personally cannot wait for the next book in this series!
