Making Faces by Amy Harmon

*spoilers*
Well written. An emotional story that follows Fern and Ambrose’s relo over the years . Ambrose goes to war, comes back physically and emotionally traumatised. Their letter writing was cute and had me in the feels. Patriotism, love for wrestling.
Fern, Bailey and Ambrose’s friendship is quite cute. It was interesting learning more about DMD. I think I would prefer if Ambrose loved Fern first.  Liked their chemistry, angst could’ve been stretched out a little.
Ending was a bit lacklustre. Felt like Ambrose had to keep coming in to save the day.
I liked themes of faith, how life is like 1000 piece puzzle. We may not see the big picture. Bad things happen to everyone but we may be too absorbed in our own world to notice or care.
