I don’t enjoy slow books too much and wished it was a bit faster. Plus I was also expecting more from the plot and characters. I think the plot or concept was a good idea but the execution wasn’t really it for me. I don’t know if anyone else felt this way but I feel like

Belle was trying too hard to convince both herself and the reader that she loved Lio as Lio & not as the beast that she fell in love with first, which is weird b/c yk Lio is/was the beast. But it felt like the way the author described it was as if it the beast was not Lip & vice versa. I get it but it made me feel as though Belle fell in love with Beast Lio and not Lio as a human.
