Who Was Stan Lee? by Geoff Edgers, Who HQ

5.0

The younger kids at the library have been excited about the Who Is …?/Who Was …? series for awhile. So, I had wanted to read a title in order to see what all the hoopla was about. I get it now. This series is an excellent introduction to the biography genre for grade school age kids! I loved getting to know Stan Lee and learning about his life. A wonderful addition to the biographical story is the inset pages with bits about historical events, authors who he read as a child, and some of the Marvel villains. Plus the excellent bibliography will give kids a place to go if they just have to know more. This particular title is a sure to be a hit with fans of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Thor. It was great to get to know the man behind the comics!
