Well, damn, Ms. Halpern. You sure know how to rip a girl's heart out seven ways come sunday.

This book was very cathartic for me as I am still trying to process a sudden cancer related family death.

On to the good stuff. Alex is a teen girl going through hell. there is the usual BS, sure, like betrayal by best friend, but is it usual for that to happen on the heels of a family death?! to cap that off Alex is falling in love and feeling guilty every second thanks to that same best friend previously mentioned. Becca is sick and Alex thinks it is her fault, sort of. Alex thinks that everything is her fault.

I give this book nine out of ten banana bags ( look it up).
