This was all over the place. At first it seemed like a book for kids and I was wondering if I missed the info that this was a YA book but eventually that shifted and I wasn't sure what it was.
It turned into a weird and confusing story about super smart people with unusual talents in a strange and unpleasant near future. There was a thread of romance that was the connective tissue for everything. Parts of this section I liked a lot. Parts of it I founds totally confusing. Overall I liked it but wished that I liked it a lot more than I did.
