This book was plain ole FUN. It was snarky, cheeky, and never took itself or the genre too seriously. It got repetitive in the middle, and therefore the pacing was a bit off with a super rushed ending. But overall, I think this is a great pick for someone looking for a humorous fantasy, in the same vein as Assistant to the Villain.
