N.K. Jemisin does it again! I read The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms earlier this year and loved it, yet somehow this book still managed to surpass my expectations. I loved everything about this - the character, the plot, the worldbuilding, but most of all the prose itself. N.K. Jemisin is an icon, and her reputation is well-deserved. The way all three of the POVs were interwoven, creating not just a cohesive narrative but a compelling one, was a masterclass in writing. 5/5 stars, no notes.
