For My Sister by Puja Shah

4.0

The story revolves around twin sisters set in the backdrop of a village in India. The story takes a turn when their mother passes away.

What i liked about this book is that it deals with patriarchy, mental illness and relationship between sisters. As you are reading this book, there would be parts where you will be happy, some where you are angry, disappointed and frustrated. It’s a whirlwind of emotions. Phew!

I also liked the relationship between the sisters. They are able to feel what happens to each other despite being apart. That was beautifully depicted in this book.

I enjoyed reading the relationship between Vishnu and Asya; however, i felt it was a little short and superficial. I expected more though.
