This definitely set feminism back at least a decade.
I really disliked how aggressively and toxically protective Justin was. His relationship with Dylan was better developed than his relationship with Carolina. While I think the author accurately portrayed what living in poverty is like, I disliked how little of a personality she gave Caroline. I don’t think there was a single chapter in which Caroline wasn’t crying. While displaying emotion is totally fine, her excessive crying paired with his toxic (you need me to protect you at all times and i know whats best energy) made her seem helpess.
