You Have to Make Your Own Fun Around Here by Frances Macken

3.0

I HATED Evelyn. Could not stand her the entire book. Actually most of the characters pissed me off. There were some interesting plot points, but they weren’t wrapped up in a satisfying way. I could see how they were meant for interpretation and the endings were implied, but I feel like the payoff would have been greater if they had ended differently. A good representation of “friendship” though, and that’s why I think it was so infuriating to read because it was so realistic. Everyone knows a Maeve and and an Evelyn, and if they don’t know a Katie, they are Katie.
