Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent
Did not finish book. Stopped at 71%.
DNFed at the 71% mark. (1/11-08/11/22) overall maybe 3-3.5⭐️ but not enough for me to read the next book.
I could not love this book as much as I wanted to. Overall I really enjoyed the first 20% of this book and I really liked where it was going but then book took on this younger tone with these older characters that I didn’t think fit.
I enjoyed the set up, the world and the characters individually, but what really put me off was Max’s and Tisaanah’a relationship. It felt kind of forced and rushed. I honestly thought it needed a lot more friendship development before feelings came into it. Both of these characters have been literally threw hell and I just think the ‘friendship’ that we were given did not have the development to make it feel real for them to then fall for each other. Also their interactions felt kind of repetitive.
ALSO IF I SEE THE WORLD CHUCKLED ONE MORE TIME I WILL BE MAD. Every interaction Max and Tis had they were chuckling at least once and for some reason it made me very mad😂
With this all said if this book interests you, definitely give it a go because you could love this. It just wasn’t for me (maybe I’ll give it another go at a later time and see how I feel then)
