2 stars. Easily my least favorite Torre book and that’s saying a lot because this is the first time I’ve rated a book of hers less than four stars. This was just a boiling hot ass mess. It started off good but once the hero entered the picture it derailed and kept derailing off the track until the very end. I liked none of the characters. Not only are Ty and Chase terrible and annoying people but they felt kinda empty and flat. There was not much to them at all nor did I feel the chemistry between them. The romance made me feel icky and I didn’t know before hand that this book deals with my least favorite trope but boy does it. A lot. This was luckily a very quick read and addictive in it’s awfulness. It kept me reading in a “I can’t believe this bullshit is really happening” kinda way and I hate myself for it honestly.

The suspense came out of nowhere and made absolutely no sense. The reveal of the suspect was lame because we don't know the character and the reasoning for everything was nonsensical. That entire plot was just a fail.

Still love me some Torre but no ma’am this wasn't it. At least it was well written.
