This was a really, REALLY good book. It started off as being a book choice for me that was intended to be a palate cleanser as my previous book I dragged my feet reading and my book before that I DNF Ed so I really was just looking for something lite, magical and cozy to reset, but this story was sooo much more than that!! It definitely changed the way I feel about death and what the after life might be like. Moments, ideas, quotes and themes of redemption, growth, found family and love from this book will definitely continue to stick with me. I'm glad I decided to pick up this book at the time I did, when I was feeling a bit down. Instead of feeling more sad reading a book about death, it had the opposite effect, and for that I am grateful. If you enjoyed the House in the Cerulean Sea, you will absolutely love this book as well.
