Amazingly bleak yet hopeful at the same time. A group of friends & relatives and how they all cope & adapt to the new world they are in. The story behind the Governor in the comic books. Thankfully I forgot who the Governor was so it was like discovering him all over again.
Re-read 20th October 2016: Just as good the second time round. Hard to put down with a fluid pace, painful character development, and just the right amount of walker action. Re-reading so I can enjoy the latest book in the series.
