I enjoyed this short read very much. There was so much development in such a short period of time that I felt as though I had a lifetime of background. I really appreciated the different narrations, as this helped keep the story as straight as possible for me. I will say that reading a physical copy of the book may help with the flow and understanding of what is going on, better than following the audiobook. Kim Hae-on is found murdered in the summer of 2022, and her story is told in a narrative that flips between three voices. Da-on, her sister, and two classmates, Sanghui and Yun Taerim. Through these narratives, we learn how each person viewed the events leading up to and after the murder and, in the end, get a vague understanding of who the killer was and why they did what they did. I will definitely re-read this, as I feel each read will illuminate something new and thought-provoking.
