The writing is so very, very good, honest, poignant - I was totally absorbed in the book for the entirety of the short amount of time that it took me to read it. And the way Taylor writes about whiteness is so damning and devastating. I think the highlight of the novel, for me, was the part about beauty and bodies in physical space.
