Once I got into this book, it was really good and really interesting, but it did take me 48% of the way to get there. It was still interesting before that, but I didn’t actively seek out reading the book or think about it at other times.
Additionally, I wasn’t a huge fan of the occasional sexism, even though I understand that that’s how Ancient Greece was, and there were a few things that confused me, but overall I really enjoyed it.
I especially loved how it was taking a Greek myth and making it more realistic from a modern perspective; most of what happened was relatively believable, and because it was substantially backed by actual history, I think it was so cool!!
