A Wish for Us by Tillie Cole

5.0

This is the most addictive book I’ve read by Tillie Cole. I devoured this story and even though it broke my heart a few times—okay, a bunch of times— I’d still read it again.

“He plays music for me that says more to my heart than his words ever could.”

Before starting A Wish for Us I already knew this was going to take me on an emotional roller coaster. I naively thought I was prepared for it. WRONG! I wasn’t. Not even close!

Cromwell and Bonnie’s story turned out to be so much more than I anticipated. So much more!!!

I finished this book a few days ago and I still can’t find the right words to express what this book did to me. So I want to say sorry in advance if my review is a mess.

I love the way Tillie is able to make you feel exactly what the characters are feeling. Whatever these characters felt, I felt. I felt everything! I both loved and hated it. Especially when it was pain. Boy, but did I feel it. I felt it with my whole being.

Bonnie and Cromwell became one of my favorite couples of 2018.

The were complete opposites; Bonnie is a kind girl with a bright personality, while Cromwell is covered in tattoos, piercings and a real jerk. However, they do have one thing in common— their love for music. The thing that brought them together. Soon you’ll realize that Bonnie and Cromwell fit seamlessly together.

I have so much I want to talk about but I think everyone should experience this book for themselves. I can’t recommend it enough.

This is why Tillie is, and always will be, a favorite author of mine. She evokes these strong emotions with her words, you can’t help but fall deeply in love with her books. It’s inevitable.

Read this beautiful, heart wrenching story.
