I could see how people would rate this originally Watpad thriller low. I had to suspend some belief, but don't we all for most thrillers? haha. I just could not put this book down in the same way I couldn't stop listening to the After series (another Wattpad legend lol), not necessarily because it had stellar writing but I was just so invested in how the story was going to play out. I think the ending needed about 50 more pgs to really wrap things up, and as in the other reviews I was bothered by a bit of a lackluster payoff and unrealistic quick recovery for Summer (really. no in patient therapy after that? I understand the original version maybe not having that but if the author/editor had read any of Jaycee Dougard's memoirs and what happens when she was found, it could've been a wee bit more realistic lol) but I enjoyed the ride!!! I also liked Lewis. IDK why everyone be hating on their romance haha.
