Someone tell me...WHY DID I TAKE SO LONG TO READ THIS BOOK???
I loved The Ravenhood Series and knew I wanted to read more of Kate Stewart's books, so I bought this, but it literally took me like a month to actually pick it up.
I ate this book up in ONE DAY. ONE DAY! Kate's writing style just completely surrounds be like a big hug and I just could not put this book down. One of my favorite books of the month, year and probably ever.
I am a SUCKER for a love triangle...when it's done right. This book? THE BEST LOVE TRIANGLE I'VE EVER READ. Kate really made you fall in love with every character and made you care about what happened to each and every one of them.
This book was also SO unique in how the chapters were written. The prologue is actually a portion of the end of the story in a way, and it was so beautifully written. There is a little bit of a missing piece of information in the prologue that keeps you intrigued throughout the entire book and just makes you to figure out what it's about!
This book really evoked every emotion known to humankind out of me. I was happy, cracking up, crying my eyes out, frustrated af, mad, confused, etc. And I love when a book can do that to me as long as it's a HEA :))
This book was absolute perfection and I'm sad knowing that I will never be able to read it again for the first time.
