It took me too long to decide to read this classic. I wish I had picked it up sooner. There's something to special about the bond of sisters and siblinghood and it is all conveyed so well in this novel. You love Little Women because you are Jo. And Amy and Meg and Beth all rolled into one. All the char cters and their dreams and ambitions. Because in the pages you see your older sister as Meg and Amy and Jo and Beth. You are Jo and your little sibling Amy and Beth and Meg and Jo all at once. We are all of us the sisters whose stories we read in the pages. I will be revisiting this novel for sure and the companion books as well. It can be a bore for those not into classic literature however it's worth giving a go because I don't think feminism and womanhood is time sensitive.
