The Hilarious World of Depression by John Moe

emotional funny hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted reflective medium-paced

3.5

John Moe found a way to take depression and make it lighthearted while still giving it the appropriate level of seriousness it deserves. This book discusses his own personal struggles with the disease from adolescence in the '80s through present day. He cites his own experiences as well as sharing snippets of guest interviews from his years in radio and podcasting.

As an individual with depression, I found many of the stories and anecdotes to be relatable; I caught myself nodding along or agreeing with him out loud more than once while listening to the audio book, which he narrates himself. Overall, I enjoyed this book.
