Did You Miss Me? by Sophia Money-Coutts

Genre: Romance | Fiction

Release Date: Expected 19th August 2021

Eleanor Mason is fine. Better than fine actually.

She's got the perfect job as a lawyer, supportive parents and a wonderful flat in London. And then there's Gus, her very sweet, very long term boyfriend who she has sex with at least once a week.

She's completely fine - until she heads back to her parents town for a few days and sees Arthur. Lord Arthur Drummond, to be precise. Rich, successful, gorgeous and married to a stunning Heiress. But underneath all that, he's just Art - the one who got away, her former childhood friend and the one person who's ever broken her heart.

And the longer she's in her old town, the more her life slowly feels less and less perfect. Is this just a case of the grass always looking greener on the other side? Or is Nell just settling for fine because she's scared to reach out for something amazing?

Did You Miss Me? managed to completely capture that nostalgic pang-in-your-stomach feeling when you think about going home. It was a beautiful story about roots and growing up and that desperate longing for everything to be exactly as we saw it when we were young.

I saw so much of myself in Nell - trapped in almost painful boredom and suffocating from being stuck in a rut but not knowing how to break the endless cycle she'd created for herself. This was a love story, yes, and while I adored fawning over Art and trying to figure out who Nell should really be with, that was just a small part of the story. Every single person we met had their own story to tell, their own vibrant personality that stood out and each story interwove into one in a spectacular way.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
