This book was amazing. It wasn't at all what I expected but I loved it.

Rosa was so passive in the first book her sudden bravery (at times) in this book shocked me! But it was great to see that other side of her. I also liked getting to know her better in light of how her past affected her present. I especially loved her relationship with her students even if poetry is definitely not my thing.

I was completely endeared to Jeremy already from book one. He was such a good friend to Yaz - dependable and loyal. I only grew to love him more and more in this book. I really admired his control and patience.

This book has some absolutely amazing kissing scenes. Some get pretty hot and heavy and there is a closed door sex scene, but truly I felt it was all very tastefully done - it wasn't explicit or sensationalized at all in my opinion.

This multicultural love story truly showcased the Puerto Rican culture and the Spanish was seamlessly included in a way that thrilled my bilingual heart but won't leave non-Spanish speakers lost. I can't wait to start book 3!
