“If I’m occasionally over-dressed, I make up for it by being always immensely over-educated” might just be one of my favorite quotes, but then again this book has so many perfectly crafted lines it is in fact very hard to choose.
What a truly delightful read. I love how entertaining and genuinely hilarious this play is while critiquing societal norms and values in a way that remains relevant and thought-provoking through the tides of times and cultures. Wilde's whirlwind of wit and wordplay are central to the play's humor and satire, showcasing the importance of language in both revealing and concealing truths.
