This one hurt but it was my own damn fault. I thought I had balls of steel and eyes as dry as the Sahara. Uff, I was quickly brought to heel. I had to watch White Chicks right after reading this to avoid a depressed slump. Josh is the perfect main character. You get emotionally attached to him very early on, and despite knowing that this was a fated romance, you DO NOT avoid the sweet lull of this duo, nor the sudden lurch towards the end. I felt like I had an MI, honestly. I would recommend this to anyone, especially knowing the second book in this duet promises to heal you. However, one has to prepare oneself for the barrage of emotions that is heading one’s way. Beyond the story of redemption, second chances and the power of having just even one person to root for you, the writing is so poetic and pretty. It is a rounded, wholesome experience reading this one.
