This was a nice little book of stories. I enjoyed some more than others but thought it was good overall. I know it's in the name but this is definitely a book that portuguese-americans will relate to more than portuguese people born in Portugal. There were multiple moments when I, a person born in Portugal, could not relate at all to some of the diaspora traditions described - which was a fun learning experience for me! That's what reading is all about.
