I enjoyed this a little bit. But honestly my interest in this book was on and off. I had trouble wanting to get back to reading this book. I really only finished this because it's a part of a series and I'm excited for the third book, so I wanted to read the first two books first even though they can all be read as standalones.
The last 30% was honestly the best and most interesting part of this book. So much so that I almost rated this higher, but I knew if I rated this higher it wouldn't be true to my feelings on the rest of the book.
There are amazing and sweet moments spread throughout. I thought Jax was very sweet and he really showed how much he cares for and loves Sid. Honestly Sidney's character was the more annoying and frustrating character. I understand her fears and insecurities surrounding hockey players. But I felt like she never gave Jax a true chance until the end no matter what he did for her.
So this book may have had some really sweet moments but it was an overall very difficult book to get through for me. And the sexual scenes didn't do anything for me, I honestly skipped over all of them but one, maybe two of them. They're really not all that necessary to the story. I will most likely never recommend this book. I may even forget about it at some point.
With that being said I'm excited to read Lucas and Piper's story next. And then finally get to Mia, River, and Alex's story, which is the story I'm most excited for.
