I have been really enjoying fantasy related to Norse gods and was excited to read this after reading a book with a similar premise and loving it…
It was not my fave. I like Aisla and Vali, but I can’t figure out how much time passed. It feels like a lot of character/relationship development was glossed over and were just supposed to buy them being in love. I can suspend my disbeliefbut flip flopping from literally wanting to kill each other and trying, to marrying the guy who murdered your whole family? That’s a stretch… and I’m supposed to be ok with it because her dad lied? I don’t know… I didn’t like the set up and feel like it could have been developed better.
I do like the overall plot though, and I’m ok with where the relationship ends up, just not the journey of it.
I will still read the sequel, but I’m not rushing to download it.
