The Measure of Katie Calloway by Serena B. Miller

4.0

This book was presented as a love story, but it is truly a look at the life of Michigan loggers in the late 19th century. I found the setting so interesting, I forgot to look for the romance part of it. I also loved the characters; even the ancillary characters had such a presence and distinctiveness to them. In the end, it was a very sweet love story.
