The Road Beneath My Feet by Frank Turner

3.0

Real rating 3.5
This is a must read for any Frank Turner fan. It was excellent to read some of the backdrops of what was occurring around his life around various points of song writing, hear some tales of what life on the road is like and the shenanigans that ensue. It's honest and down to earth. At times it felt like the story was lost to the credits of Frank's life, but these were people and places that were clearly important to the moment so that can be forgiven.
The short snippets made it good to read in odd moments, and I found myself matching his records to my reading, and drawing it out over long periods to enjoy the music and the stories together.
Lastly, being on the road for work myself, this book is strangely relatable, I have no idea where Frank gets his enduring energy from.
