This was fine. Sanderson struggles with writing internal dialogue, and there was a LOT of it that was boring af. The plot-driven action parts were fun and I was generally invested in most of the characters but everything got weaker as the book came to a close. The worldbuilding was pretty neat and I might try another of his just to see if I can get on board with him as an author but I don’t expect to fall in love. Also, I’m so fucking sick of authors who stereotype any fat characters as lazy, slow, unhealthy, etc. Always leaves a bad taste in my mouth and this had some of that.
