Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
3.0
Really liked the message. I feel like CoHo’s books are learning more toward YA the more I read. I’m trying to read all her books, and honestly they’re all as page turning as the last.
I feel like this was lacking though. I loved her at first for her mind blowing romances and her earth shattering love stories, but this is a coming of age story. I wanted so much to love Sagan and Merit but in the end I loved them both...separately. Not that they should be together but they never really “fall in love” and NEEEEED each other like Colleen’s other books. I don’t know. Not a fave.
But I will continue on and read all her past novels. And probably all her future ones too. Her writing is so addicting nonetheless.
Although I felt like I kept reading, holding onto the hope that Sagan and Merit would madly fall in love and I was just left with disappointment, hence the three stars.
