Amelia and the Viscount by Samantha Holt
4.0
4 Stars
Amelia and the Viscount is the first book in the Bluestocking Brides series by Samantha Holt. This is the first book by Ms. Holt that I have read. I love a good historical romance and I loved the cover of this book. So, I grabbed it and dove right in. It is a really quick and easy read, without too much angst and drama. It was a little slow to get going, but once the pace picked up the whole story flowed better, and I enjoyed what I was reading. The characters were interesting, and likeable, although I would have liked more backstory/details on them. We meet Amelia and her sisters, and are introduced to Lord Nicolas Wentworth. There is a lot happening in this story, especially for such a quick read. But I will leave you to find out all the details of the story for yourself, as there are some interesting developments that really add a lot more interest to this story. I loved the whole letter debacle- and the way the sisters were so quirky, especially for that era. I would be interested in reading the rest of this series.
Thank you, Ms. Holt!
