Writing Style?
Great. It's in a way historical, it's hilarious at times and written Oh so subtly. I simply love the dialogues and the conversations. Amazing!
plot?
A bit of drama and suspense. I adored that we got glimpses at some covrert mission, some investigating.
Sure the whole novel is not really historically accurate... I mean come on, how can a man and a woman be all alone so many times?? And yet noone talks... Not authentic.
Characters?
I was very disappointed..
Don't get me wrong. I loved Kate. She's such a strong and lovely person. But she is also sooo naive. And not even in the general sense because she is quite intelligent, no, rather when it comes to love and sex... Not once does she think about what losing her V card could mean...
And her hero? I cannot believe that he puts her reputation at stake. Again and again. Disappointing... Plus, it takes him way too long to ask for her hand...
Except for that, the ending was pretty awesome and made up for the some of what happened before. Definitely a good read!
