I really enjoyed this book and I'm truly surprised it doesn't have better reviews. This book is very progressive. It discuses female representation and widows specifically within the Sikh culture and it does so in a really interesting way: erotic stories and sexuality. If you don't enjoy steamy and illicit sex scenes this is not the book for you, and based off the title I'm not sure why you'd pick the book up in the first place.

I enjoyed the mystery/thriller subplot throughout the book as well. It was a little far-fetched but I don't mind that in my fiction books. This is a book afterall. I didn't see to many plot-holes in the story line but I was really enjoying the journey. The characters felt really well thought out and diverse and I saw some really strong character progression as well. Especially for Nikki and Kulwinder. The ending did feel a little rushed, but overall I am happy with what happened. It felt like it was true to the characters and I was left feeling hopeful.

I feel like this would be an awesome book club book. I finished the book within almost 2 days and I was left wanting to discuss it with someone else. This book reminded me of The Stationary Shop, another great book I'd recommend. If you liked that one, you'll love this one. And vice-versa.
