The overall silliness, humour, and lightheartedness of the story was negatively impacted by how many racist remarks there were throughout. I know the book is “of it’s time”, but it was still unpleasant.
Graphic: Racism
Repeated uses of the N- word (and variations), two characters donning blackface.
