This one was not my favorite so far. I want to get to know Bennie, but she makes it hard. The case was so frustrating, the characters were mostly likable.

There are two stories in one here. There is the back story of 2 middle school boys, a bully and his prey. Their disaster is unconscionable, I don’t want to give anything away... but we do find out that nonsense!

The book starts with a murder. The prey has been accused of killing the bully 10 years later. The bully’s family is something else.

There is a side story of Bennie and a love twist that complicated things.

Again, I do like this series and will keep reading, and I think I just have to get used to first meeting and getting acquainted with the firm’s characters.
