Matt Archer: Monster Hunter by Kendra C. Highley
4.0
Matt Archer's a pretty typical kid--he's got a family that loves him (minus an absent deadbeat dad), a crush on the school bully's girlfriend, and a great best friend. Then he accidentally picks up a knife his uncle has and his life changes dramatically--all of a sudden, he's training to kill monsters!
This book is aimed at kids 12-15, but, really most people will enjoy it. The writing is young (see the intended audience), but it grips you and hauls you into the story. I really enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to more books in this series.
