To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Studied for school...good book. Really relevant to today's issues with other minority's being oppressed. One of the best books I've read this year: I changed my review because of the themes I discussed with my classmates and teachers at school and had made me all the more interested in this book! I even added an extra star! I think I should read go set a watchman.

REREAD 2024: being just that bit older, i can really appreciate how revolutionary this book was. it was also really interesting to see all my little notes in the margins of the book, and to see whether i agreed or disagreed with the sentiments now. I will say there are so many incredible books about people of colour that have been written now, and where their stories come from their perspectives, which i would argue is more important to hear black stories from black people. Despite this, still an important book
