This book felt maybe a little longer than it needed to be, and the plot got a bit convoluted and there are still some holes.

Like did we ever learn why Jules and the other person in her car, who may or may not have been her husband, kept switching off before killing Trevor?

It tiptoed pretty close to having sex overtake the plot, but I think it just managed to stay in the 4 pepper range.
Still it was a fun read, and I enjoyed the darker aspects of it. I don’t think mafia-esque romance is a niche for me, but the occasional story like this one can be exciting!
