Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman

5.0

I’ve had this book since it released and I knew I wanted to re-read the first 3 since it had been a while. I love this whole series and how perfectly Alice writes.

This book focused mainly on Charlie’s mental health journey and how their relationship worked through that. I also like how she includes homophobic comments to make the book more realistic and talk about the struggles that lgbtq+ go through, rather than romanticising it. We are 4 books in and I’m thankful that the story of their intimacy hasn’t been rushed and felt forced.

When reading they truly feel like friends and you want to give them both a big hug and squeeze! I look forward to volume 5
